"'My agent had told me that he was going to make me the Janet Gaynor of England - I was going to play all the sweet roles. Whereupon, at the tender age of thirteen, I set upon the path of playing nothing but hookers.'- Ida Lupino, director of The Hitch-Hiker"

Shakra's Industrial Strength Dance Workout – Because Corsets Can Only Do So Much...
Submitted by MinervaLi on 11/03/2009
Now I’m not sure really how to classify this, but these girls describe their art as “Transfusion Dance.” (Now don't get your hopes up, there's no blood letting in the dvd.) I picked it up thinking that this could really work because metal music would be a great sound to work out to and if I had to listen to one more “Only 3 more! You can do it!” in the terrible sing song voice of “Sasha” on the last dvd I purchased I'd probably murder the television. I was desperate for something that got me moving without forcing me to endeur faux beach landscaping or kick boxing routines. A metal fitness video seemed too good to pass up...

Some of Pretty/Scary's friend, Tiffany Shepis, Alan Rowe Kelley, Michelle Tomlinson, Joe Zaso, Bill Moseley, and so many more, are featured in the 2010 Hot Honeys and Hunks of Horror Calendar which donates 100% of the profits earned to the Lynn Sage Foundation!
The Lynn Sage Foundation, established by the family of Lynn Sage, is committed to the discovery of a cure for breast cancer. To achieve this goal, the Foundation has partnered with the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, a nationally recognized leader in breast cancer care, education and research...
Booby Trap Children's Apparel – Super Cute Threads For Your Spawn.Boob
Submitted by MinervaLi on 10/25/2009
With a name like Cinthia Rached's Booby Trap (www.boobytrapshop.com) I was a little reluctant to click the link at first. The Internet is often a dark and dangerous place that can lead you to such terrible places. But, being bold and perhaps a little bit reckless, I did click and breathed a sigh of relief when instead of extreme wanton nudity or a swift and violent attack of trojan horses I was greeted by blood, zombies and adorable children.
Okay, so maybe I knew what to expect from the start but a little suspense never hurts...
Ugly Shyla: Gore and Gowns - Execution Style Clothing
Submitted by MinervaLi on 10/17/2009
By The Domestic Gothess
Ugly Shyla creates art, dolls and now she creates clothes. How is this different from the hundreds of other online sellers out there today? Well for one, Shyla's clothes are art. And not in that "fashion as its own art" sort of mentality but rather the pieces are unique, one of a kind creations that use vintage components to create a wearable statement. The pieces all seem to carry this emotion that places me in those memorable cult classic slasher films of the eighties and nineties. It's an odd place to be transported by a piece of clothing but when I take a look at the "Slasher Nurse Dress" or the "Reconstructed Stitched Up Frankenstein Formal Dress" I can't help but think back to Carrie or Prom Night...
Vampire Dating Site For the Truly Ridiculous: Lovebitten.net
Submitted by Superheidi on 07/23/2009
So, are you totally lame and obsessed with Twilight and in a strange twist of fate you also happen to be old enough to date? Not having much luck? Now you can join LoveBitten.net, where you can find vampire fans of shows like True Blood, and also weird deluded freaks who want to suck blood and avoid the ugly truth of their moronic day job by pretending to have psychic powers and charisma. (Or its just a huge publicity stunt from the creators of True Blood - but that doesn't stop people from joining and acting like morons.)
You have to enter your blood type when you start a profile. Sigh...
Why Geeks Love Goths
Submitted by GabbyGoff on 07/14/2009By Minerva Li
It's no secret that I'm something of a hybrid, part goth and part geek. I'm just as happy wrapped up in the tight embrace of a properly bound corset as I am plunked down in front of a big screen television hacking and slashing my way through hordes of monsters. I don't really deny either side, nor am I ashamed of either half despite having encountered some disdain for being “impure”. Personally, I don't care, I'm fairly secure with myself not to give a damn about being so hardcore as to deny myself the pleasures of both worlds...
The Gothspel Of Min: How To Fail Gothism 101
Submitted by GabbyGoff on 07/07/2009by Minerva Li
Gothism has a huge following despite still being considered a fringe group of society. We've got enough numbers in our ranks to fuel an immense amount of clothing companies, popular dark rock bands and even movies. This is proof that Goths aren't just a fad but a powerful cultural movement with staying power.
So, with so many of us accounted for, why are there so many new recruits failing to grasp the basics? As someone dedicated to spreading the word of the dark side I'm prepared to offer up some tips that might seem like common sense to most but some of these are the most obvious and common examples of when goth goes bad.
Geeks At The Grindhouse---House of the Dead: Overkill
Submitted by GabbyGoff on 06/21/2009by Minerva Li
Over the top, and overly violent, Sega's super cool take on the grindhouse style doesn't take itself seriously for a moment but it's done to perfection. “The House of The Dead: Overkill” is grindhouse gaming at its finest. It has been a long time since I've had a good reason to call myself a fan of Sega but this rail shooter by Headstrong is a big hit with me and all my friends— and it’s a great way to waste an evening.
'Beyond the Valley of the Dolls' Tarot Deck!
Submitted by Superheidi on 04/26/2009
Thanks to TenebrousKate of Ultra Violent Magazine for making us aware of the Beyond the Valley of the Dolls Tarot Deck! Artist Howard Hallis has recreated the awful Russ Meyer B-movie from 1970 in awesome tarot fashion.
"I made this tarot set of the major arcana based on characters from the movie back in 1993 and made one full set of prints," says Hallis. "I sent those to Russ Meyer..."
