'Scream Queen' Season 2 on VH1 hosted by Scary Stud Tim Sullivan and Jaime King

VH1's tacky reality series Scream Queens gets a new set of judges for season 2: Scary Stud March 2006 Tim Sullivan (2001 Maniacs) and horror actress Jaime King (My Bloody Valentine 3D, The Tripper).

10 aspiring vapid actresses get the chance to win a role in Saw 3D, the next film in Lionsgate’s Saw horror franchise. Season one winner Tanedra Howard was featured in the “opening trap” scene in Saw VI playing the character “Simone.”

This season’s cast...

Katt Shea on 'Pom Pom Girls' and Allison Anders on 'The Big T.N.T. Show'

Today - Monday, November 16, join cult film director Katt Shea (Poison Ivy, The Rage: Carrie 2) at Trailers From Hell for the trailer to The Pom Pom Girls. Even in 1976 Joe Rubin's drive-in sexploitation hit was considered a cut above the usual, so its relative obscurity today can only be ascribed to its long unavailablity.

Then, on Wednesday, November 18, join Allison Anders for the trailer to The Big T.N.T. Show. AIP's 1966 followup to the smash rock concert hit The T.A.M.I. Show is fun but had less cultural impact. The lineup is stellar but producer Phil Spector didn't hit the jackpot this time out.

Women nominated for the Spike TV Scream Awards 2009

The 2009 Spike TV Scream Awards will air on Spike Oct. 27th, 2009 at 10PM/9C, and you have a vote in who gets an award. Pretty/Scary is on the nomination committee, so while we tried to get the most deserving women on the voting ballot, not one female any category except as 'actress'. That's right, not even Catherine Hardwicke made it into Best Director for Twilight, but Michael Bay did for Transformers 2.

In any case, there are a few cool nominees that we're excited about...

Teen cult film 'Heathers' becoming a Fox TV show

Well, fuck me gently with a chainsaw. The 1989 Christian Slater/Winona Ryder/Shannen Doherty masterpiece of teen black comedy, murder, cliques, and morbidity Heathers is becoming a Fox TV series.

TV writer Mark Rizzo and producer Jenny Bicks (Sex in the City, Men in Trees) are in charge of the adaptation, which worries me, because of Sex in the City and Men in Trees being awful shows in which women are vapid innocent idiots and men are idealized as saviors of the middle-aged single gal. Anyway, this is about teenagers. So thankfully Diablo Cody is not involved...

Undoubtedly, the first episode will be the best when we see nervous attention whores being humilated onscreen. Welcome to low budget horror, gals! Get used to it. Info below...
