Intro's and How did you find ParaWomen on Pretty-Scary?
lol Hi Amy! I found this site through me, and then through you!
))))) I run www.pretty-scary.net and am a journalist focusing on the horror genre. I am really looking forward to having The "league" on here!
I'm DJ Dual Core. I'm a musician, blogger and fan of Para Women Radio, which is how I found out about this forum.
I don't have any unusual paranormal abilities but I have been around people who do most of my life. I am fascinated by how seeing or knowing things other people do not impacts relationships.
My blog is about social issues, music and technology. My music is electronic and noisy. I like green tea and beer with lots of hops, preferably brewed in Illinois, Minnesota or Colorado. There seems to be a positive beer energy in those states.
Hey ladies!
I'm an author, found Pretty Scary last year and now you! How cool is that?
I have a non-fiction ghost book coming out in August. Title: Spirits of Georgia's Southern Crescent. I had a blast investigating different places and talking with some really cool people.
So, well, happy to be here!
I saw an article about your other group and thought, "Wow, cool" but didn't go to any meetings cause i thought that'd be rude. A year later I found you on Myspace and after a few messages, dragged my sister with me to a meeting so I wouldn't be the only rude intruder.... now she helps co-host sometimes.. and I'm the other co-founder. Hehe
Hi everyone! I not only write paranormal fiction, but I study and practice ceremonial magick and am a member of a few esoteric organizations.
I've taken ESP tests with...interesting results. I've also had a few odd experiences in my life. Needless to say, the paranormal is a topic of fascination for me, and has been nearly my entire life.
October is over, I can breathe:) Welcome to The League of Extraordinary Paranormal Women Boards.
I wouldn't mind hearing your ESP results. What did they have you do?
I took one of those Zener tests online--think I spelled that one right. The ones with the wavy lines, the star, the circle, et cetera?
I got eight in a row right, and began patting myself on the back. Then I got the next one wrong, beat myself up over it. And got the one after that wrong, and so on...I think I tried repeatedly for another 10-15 tries before I gave up.
Needless to say, I wonder about those tests.
Howdy, everybody!
Guess I'll introduce myself here...
I'm a published poet, but had my first short fiction published in October. Eventually, I'll be a genre fiction novelist, but that will take more time and effort than I've put in thus far.
When I glanced at the forum threads, this one jumped out at me. As far as not being a normal woman (per your definition of paranormal), that's something I'm comfortable with. And I think I saw a haunted place once, the battlefield at Murfreesboro, TN. But I'm still poking around, getting an idea of what S/P is all about. Any tips or clues on how to get the most out of this site? I'm excited to see what you're all into!
Thanks.

Hi Ghostina!!! Welcome!
Well, I recommedn clicking on our navigation links at the top, if you're interested in interviews, reviews, or our Scary Studs,
or just searching through the forums!
If you use the 'search' box at the top of the site, forum threads and articles get searched for what you're looking for, which is kind of cool.
Let me know how I can help!
also, you chose one of my fave avatars!
Ok here goes. I am also new to the site and was referred by a very nice man. I KNOW! They are almost extinct, but I did find one and he thinks the world of Heidi and everyone else. We are currently working on a screenplay that I just finished and am dying to get out there.
I have been known to have the gift, if you want to call it that. I usually can tell someone's history the minute I meet them and I can predict the outcome of pretty much every situation. I am highly sensative to paranormal activity which can drive a person crazy if you are not used to it.
I hope to connect with other women in the horror genre and maybe learn a thing or two.

Hi everyone,
I found this site via SuperHeidi. What could be better then women in horror AND the paranormal??!
Who am I?
The Scream Queen-
Amy Williamson has been interested in the Paranormal from an early age, but began to formally research it at the age of 16. While earning her Bachelors of Art in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology and Communications, Amy split the remaining time between Theater and Broadcast Journalism which encompassed being an on-air radio personality for both WOCR and ParaWomenRadio.
In 2007 Amy Founded The League of Extraordinary Paranormal Women (with her co/founders Kristy Robinett and Shanon Overland). The League highlights and profiles Extraordinary Women in the Paranormal! Each Thursday Amy Co/hosts ParaWomenRadio and gets the honor of speaking with Extraordinary Women in the Paranormal (paranormal meaning just not of the "norm") that includes psychics, paranormal investigators, natural healers, hypnotherapists, actresses, artists, writers and the list goes on!
Recently Amy was invited to be on WolfMan Mac's Nightmare Sinema, based in the Detroit area. Amy created her own character, wrote her script and has been asked back as a recurring character.
In 2005 Amy formed a paranormal Investigation group, Haunted Hillsdale. At the same time she began filming a documentary in which she profiles the group investigating haunted locations in Hillsdale Michigan. In addition to filming her documentary, Amy is an avid movie script writer in the genres of Horror and Off-beat Comedy, dabbles in local Community Theater (holds a seat on her local Community Theater Board), and has maintained a career working with Women in the Social Services field for over 13 years.
