About a year and half ago I collaborated on a screenplay with fellow horror writer Royce Freeman called "Candy & Co." The screenplay is a huge homage to slasher and exploitation films of the 70s and 80s. The main plot of the story concerns a serial killer who is murdering the women of a well known call girl agency.

At the moment, neither Royce or myself have the means to bring this project to life. So I was wondering if anyone on this message board would be interested in taking a shot at it. The more experience you have, the better.

It should also be noted that I wrote a sequel to "Candy & Co." based off of my short film "Blood on the Glass Slipper."

It would also help if anyone on here could give me advice for getting projects like this off the ground. How to find directors, producers, etc.

Thanks!

A more detailed synopsis:

In the mid-80s, Candy & Co. is a call girl agency well known for it's ensemble of beautiful girls. The business continues to thrive even though a serial killer has been murdering the girls of the agency in horrible ways. Kept quiet by CANDY, their transexual pimp, he continues to lend his girls out to the masses.

TILA and MARIA, along with there fellow co-worker and friend PEPPER, have a fun night at their favorite bar "Duffy's." The fun is interrupted when their pimp's lap dog, SYDNEY, comes in and corners Maria. It should be noted that Maria is a lesbian who is what you can call "straight for pay." According to Sydney, Maria has been lacking the needed funds for the company and it's causing a major headache for their pimp CANDY. Maria threatens to quit and is quickly reminded by Sydney that Candy never let's a girl just quit.

Soon after Sydney's departure we are introduced to Dena, a waitress at the bar who once worked for Candy. It's through Dena that we learn more about Candy and just how nasty he can really be. Apparently, only one girl has ever escaped Candy's grasp successfully. After Dena's exit, Pepper says her goodbyes and heads out to meet a client.

As Pepper approaches her car, she sees a car that had been following her trio earlier that day. Trying to ignore it, she gets in hers and pulls out of the parking lot. A few moments later, the "stalker" car pulls out in the same direction. This leads to Pepper's death just moments after arriving at the hotel.

Maria and Tila's storyline continues as they try to find out what happened to their friend. Candy sends Sydney to tag along and make sure they are finding one of his best girls. It is during this search, that Candy reveals that there has been a string of gruesome murders involving the girls of his agency. Upon finding out what happened to Pepper, Tila and Maria call it quits and leave the agency. Candy will not hear of this and he sets out to find the girls and make them pay because no one leaves without his permission.

As a side story, we are introduced to another set of characters named STACY and ELIZABETH. They have both recently graduated from high school and are enjoying their last few weeks of summer break. We learn that Stacy's parents are going out of town for the next few days and leaving Stacy home alone. As Stacy's story unfolds, Elizabeth gets them both fake Ids and they decide to go out for a night on the town while the parents are away. This storyline weaves in and out of Maria and Tila's until the third act when they all end up at Duffy's Bar.

The remainder of the film is up in arms as to who will survive. Candy is full of rage and the only thing on his mind is revenge

Oh I love it! It reminds me of 1980's erotic thrillers like Stripped to Kill.

I love the name "Candy" also. and that there are interesting female characters.

Good luck, hun. I think the first thing to do is to see if you actually NEED anyone else directing this. Do you know how much of a budget you want for it? I think that might be step one.

I would love to direct this film. But as it is, I don't have the time or means to do it. It would be nice to find someone close by who I could possibly collaborate with. I'm near Milwaukee, if there are any takers.

I wrote the sequel "Blood on the Glass Slipper" so that it could either be a sequel or an original film all on it's own. I followed my short sixteen minute film closely, and many scenes from the film are featured in the screenplay but at the same time it has enough new material to keep it fresh.

Stripped to Kill seems like my kinda flick. Sorta reminds me of Body Double dor some reason.
