WANTED: REAL LIFE HORROR STORIES

I'm a Producer at a leading documentary production company called Raw TV (www.rawtelevision.co.uk).

We're extremely well respected both in the UK and US and are known for a mixture of high quality programming from current affairs to traditional documentary to drama-documentaries. We're looking for contributors for a new series of drama-documentaries. The series tells the TRUE stories of young people who have lived through a real life horror/terrible experience ââ"šÂ¬'“ the things our worst nightmares are made of ââ"šÂ¬'“ and survived to tell the tale. We are looking for stories that are really scary. Perhaps you were on vacation, at a party, on a road trip, or adventure weekend when suddenly everything went wrong and things got totally out of control. We are looking for stories from people who have been kidnapped, hazed, stalked, survived in the wild, victims of gang initiations, summer camp horrors, vampires, cults, abductions, ghosts, hijacking, hitchhiking, witchcraft and more;

Using a mixture of detailed personal testimony from the person that lived through the experience and high quality dramatic reconstruction, we will tell the story of what happened to you and how you survived.

To make something very clear: the series does not seek to judge the people who have lived through the experience rather it gives them the chance to tell their story in their own words. The style of the series means that every piece of information the audience hears comes directly from the contributor. As such, we can't sensationalize the events or in some way be unfaithful to the story. Most people that have agreed to take part have done so because they recognize the series will have a strong cautionary message at its heart. Many people have found themselves, by no fault of their own, in a terrible situation that they truly live to regret. By telling their story, they hope to talk directly to those who might be thinking of doing the same thing or help those that find themselves in a similar situation.
