Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth trading in all those games you don't play to pick up.

www.rockband.com

It's a freekin' blast! I can't wait to dig into the online co-op modes and rock out with my friends (being a hermit, I don't have a lot of people over).

They definitely do not include a sax, which is blatant discrimination!

Actually the mic doubles as a cowbell/triangle.

During parts where there aren't any vocals, the vocalist slaps the mic like a triangle.

It felt great waking up and pretending like I could play guitar to Faith No More's "Epic" this morning.

...and the South Park reference comes full circle.

I finished the guitar tour on Easy, and one of the songs you unlock near the end is "Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld". It was a riot.

Starting to work my way through medium now. I played for a while at the little video game store near my house. Playing with 4 people is a BLAST!

WORD. they've got "celebrity skin" and what else? not much at all, really. i say we come up with a wish list and submit it to them. although i imagine most of them will be 90s bands.

They have HEART, which is good. But definitely a shortage of songs by chicks!

i love heart. i heart heart.

in fact, the original script i wrote for "slay ride" has ruby larocca's character referring to her breasts as "ann" and "nancy". before they filmed, i changed it to "sid and nancy" because her character is more of a punker.

There's one Blondie song (I think 'Call Me') available for download on XBL.

I haven't played in a few weeks (Persona 3: FES is eating ALL my playing time) but if anyone plays online on 360 add bumscorner to your friend list. I love getting online and rocking out virtually.

Downloaded "Train In Vain" this morning (arguably the best Clash song ever). It was a freekin' blast!

I need to get a mic stand so I can sing and play at the same time though.

Do what my hubby does. He clips the mic to a light stand so he can sing and play. Laughing out loud

That's a much better idea than putting an eye hook in the ceiling so the mic hangs down, like I'm a crooner from the 40s.

I think a suspended mic like that would make you look more like the referee from a '40s boxing match more than anything else.

Sweet! I love The Cars. I was hoping we'd get something from them. I really hope they'll give us "You Might Think", but this album is a good start!

I'll have to dl that later. Thanks for the info!

Just played with my daughter for a little bit actually.

Next week is Disturbed and Jimmy Buffett:

"Margaritaville" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Cheeseburger in Paradise" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Volcano" by Jimmy Buffett (master - new original recording)
"Indestructible" by Disturbed (master)
"Inside the Fire" by Disturbed (master)
"Perfect Insanity" by Disturbed (master)

Might have to pick up the Buffett personally.

Hey eshbums, have you downloaded Buffet? We played his 3 last night. Not the greatest songs to 'rock out' to, but fun, especially Cheeseburger in Paradise on guitar.

I did download them indeed!

I need to start getting online more often! I used to love these tunes, but the new remasters seem, I don't know, too polished maybe?

Next week is a bunch of MTV2 trash.

Bring on the freekin' Pixies and Who!

I saw that today!

There's a lot of junk on there, but man, Elvis Costello and Talking Heads? I may never leave the house again!

It is great that downloads for RB1 will work in RB2. I am picking this up day one!

Oh, speaking of...Who's Greatest Hits should be available today.
