"'My brother John, from whom you are all descended, was bitten on the back of his neck by something that was half animal, half human. From that moment on, he was hairy, all over.' - Aunt Kate (Dom Deluise, Haunted Honeymoon"
Buffaclare Productions Presents: Blood on the Glass Slipper
Apologies for not posting for a long time, but I'm back. For those of you who remember, around Christmas time I posted about a short film called "Bullets & Mascara" (a review of which can be found on the Pretty-Scary review section).
Well we have recently finished a new short film called "Blood on the Glass Slipper." Only having four days to shoot we decided to go all out on gore and just have fun with the project. Unlike Bullets, you can tell that we had a very short time to make the film. I myself think it works and is great for what it is.
It is an exploitation film at heart. What did we exploit? The word FUCK of course. We had no idea until it came to the editing process how many times the word was said. The use of the word turned it into more of a black comedy and seems to genuinely work.
Three bank robbers on the run from a heist gone wrong. Two travellers cross their path. Wrong Place. Wrong Time.
A better quality version will appear on our website (www.buffaclare.com) once it launches.

I hope you enjoy watching and forgive us for the over use of that certain word. Feedback would be great.
Glad to hear it.
I hope you both enjoy it.
Just don't be expecting anything like Bullets. We had so much more time on that film. This was a really fun project to work on and I hope people take the short amount of shooting time and VERY low budget in to consideration.
Thanks again.
Oh and Andrew, would it be possible to get another review like you did for Bullets? You did a really great job on it and we are still stoked that you took the time to write it.
Apologies for not posting in such a long time. Pretty-Scary would not load on this computer for the longest time! I really don't know what was wrong with it. Hmm....
Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that we have had major updates on our website! Up until now, our films have only been available on Heather's youtube account. That is not the case anymore. No longer condensed into shitty quality 100 MB files, our films can be viewed in the way they were meant to be seen.
Please check out our site. You won't be disappointed!
Oh Heidi, age isn't a factor! I'm in love with ya already!
We still have some major updates to work on. Getting a forum on the site so we can get some feedback and such. We are hoping it expand the horizons of Buffa Clare Productions.
Youtube, although good for beginners, just doesn't seem to have the impact on people it once did.
I hope you like the ultra awesome quality videos and tell others about us!
An update:
Currently, I am putting together a double feature "Grindhouse" type version of "Blood on the Glass Slipper" and "Bullets & Mascara". So far it's looking pretty cool and will more than likely be available in our WTF? section of the site.
Even those who have seen both films should check it out because of the redited footage and other fun things.
Well the thing is, we made the two films for fun. We aren't looking to make profit off of them. Our next film, however, will have an original score and whatnot for film festivals and such.
I still want people to watch "Bullets & Mascara" and "Blood on the Glass Slipper" to review/critique them. That helps us improve what we do. I just don't think they are good enough to sell. Our next film will be our best to date.
On another note, the first couple of minutes of "Bullets & Mascara 2" will be available on our website sometime tonight. This footage is all that was shot before we cancelled projection because of various scheduling conflicts. So those interested should definitely check it out.
Hello again. Just wanted to drop by and invite you all to join our new forum. We figured it would be a great place for you all to give feedback on our projects and also post about yours.
On another note, we've made a section of the site dedicated to my old movies. In the near future you will be able to download and view my old film from as far back as 2002. Some are good, others... not so good.
Thanks.
It's that time of year again. Christmas, New Year's, and Joe Trione directing a film with Heather Dixon. Over our break we shot a slasher/comedy called "The Old Country Inn." It's an homage to films such as Bloody New Year, April Fool's Day, etc.
Once post production (ala editing) is completed, we are hoping that this new film will prove to be even better than our two previous efforts. We are all definitely quite proud of it thus far and hope everyone enjoys it.
PLOT:
A group of six college students receive letters from a newly opened bread & breakfast. The bottom of the letter tells them of a chance to win a large sum of money. Intrigued, each of the students go to the resort and come to the realization that they all know each other from high school.
As the night goes on, the question of money is brought up many times before the students head off to bed. This is when the film does a complete 180 and horrible things begin to happen.
(While the synopsis seems fairly basic, giving away anymore information would contain some major spoliers.)
P.S.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Here is a newly edited trailer for our film "The Old Country Inn." Heather spent all Friday night editing it together and we hope you enjoy it!

You can also find a much higher quality version on our website, under the Coming Soon section.
Feedback would be great!
Last night I uploaded a double feature made in the style of GRINDHOUSE, featuring my two short films: Bullets & Mascara and Blood on the Glass Slipper. It's complete with advertisements and faux trailers in between films. I think even those who have seen the two films will get a kick out of it.
It was made over a very boring weekend and I really had nothing better to do. It's all in good fun and isn't to be taken that seriously. You can view the short films separately and in better quality on the website: www.buffaclare.com
For those interested, be sure to check out our website for some major updates on our new film "The Old Country Inn."
Also, Heather recently edited together a kickass trailer for our short film "Blood on the Glass Slipper" and entered it in to a film festival at her college. She would have entered the film, but it was only allowed to be 5-10 minutes. This trailer, however, might be better than the movie (most grindhouse trailers are).
Check it out on our website or on youtube!
The audio commentary for BOTGS can now been watched/heard on youtube. This has always been a favorite among people who've watched our films. Hope you enjoy!

The commentary for Old Country Inn should be up in the next day or so.
Thanks!!

Anyone?
