The true accounts of a female horror PA on the set of a female-directed horror film, Pocahauntus

Director Veronica Craven was convinced the role of Ginger Sinclair the porn star was cursed. Unfortunately I had missed all the previous trials and tribulations from signing on halfway through the project, but it was crunch time and we needed an actress. I sent out emails to about a dozen friends and searched for random actresses on myspace. Luckily enough, my friend Julia Bindi was a fantastic actress, and she was down to play Ginger. Not being able to audition here in the Bay Area on short notice, Veronica auditioned her over the phone and claimed she nailed it. There was really no other way to introduce Juls to the cast and crew then to get her into some lingerie and have her pretend to hump someone. Today was the porn scene, and I was keyed up. ..

Before getting into the details, let me warm up the story with our first scene of the day. Actor Neil D'Monte who you can check out in Night of the Living Dead 3D, traveled all the way from Los Angeles to play this small role in our little movie. He had it rough because he had not one, but two sex scenes that day. Scene one was alongside Lisa Allen in a cramped hospital locker room. I think Neil was a little nervous, but Lisa could seriously make anyone comfortable. She's got a very easy going attitude about her and she was really a pleasure to work with.

After the Neil and Lisa bump and grind, Juls arrived right on time for hair and makeup. After a few minutes with Juls I think Veronica was especially relieved that the role was finally filled, and filled by someone everyone instantly took to. I was incredibly happy that I had helped make that happen and we could now get on with the movie and see this thing through. Also arriving in the scene was our porn director Stefano Capone, and our 'fluffer' played by Chris Angelo who's appeared in films such as Hood of the Living Dead and the recently released San Franpsycho.

After hair and makeup Veronica announced a closed set. The crew all hung out and looked at each other in disappointed as we were the studio doors were closed and Neil and Juls disappeared onto the set. About sixty seconds later all we could hear was loud moaning as we giggled to one another and discussed our amusement at what the janitors must be thinking. Shortly later, Veronica comes back in the break room cracking up showing us digital photos of Juls giving Neil physical direction on how to do her from behind. I think we all knew right then and there she was going to fit in here.

The crew pulled up some chairs and got comfy, ready to watch some simulated intercourse. The couple got a little into it and Juls ended up with an ass full of red hand prints. Use your imagination because I'm not explaining any further.

Myself and fellow PA Dan Clifford ended up getting the fabulous opportunity of walking around in the background of our 'porn set' with boxes of tissues. You can see me sweeping the floor in this scene, it's very exciting. I went home and told my folks I was background in the movie during the porno scene. Mom and Dad were so proud.

After a seamless day, we all took group photos and hugged and vowed to see each other again at the wrap party. I made some great friends and had yet another successful day on the set of Pocahauntus.
