I had the honor of having one of my first watchers on deviant art be Joseph Larkin. And now he's become a pretty good pal.
His art is AMAZING! I keep telling him he needs to make it easier to buy because then my entire house would be filled with his work. I've never seen anyone with such amazing skills. And I like how REAL his women are. You really must see it.

My favorite of his pencil drawings were the rabbits, for some reason.
I liked "Edward Reclining"...not only because it was beautifully rendered, but I suppose because I enjoyed his use of the word "reclining" in the title, and the bunny's personal name. No one ever talks about animals, plants or inaminate objects "reclining"...usually that word is only applied to human figures.
In fact, I like it generally that the rabbits in his pencil drawings always seem to have personal names--the human figures don't. I guess that's a weird thing for me to notice, but I have a thing for names, titles, and the use of language. In this case, the use of language indicates an alternative set of values on the artist's part...

Reminded me for a second of some tea-towels we used to have and you are right of course,a man that names his pets but not his women, does speak of deeper issues.
But in all, I enjoyed perusing his work.

I actually saw his yahoo ID on his site and decided to send him an IM. It took him a long time to respond, but he finally did. Also I name-dropped Joseph Larkin. And then added his banner to my site, so I think he figures I'm okay.
It helps to say "I'm not a stalker or anything I swear." They always fall for that one.

This guys stuff is really amazing - the pencil drawings of women show a very deft touch indeed.
He also had a very dark sense of humour!
