i am listening to a lot of gay lady pop lately and it's real real good. i veer sharply towards listening to nothing but sad bastard music most of the time but sometimes i get fed up and go on vacation. other vacation spots this goaround include gnarles barkley, d'angelo, ashlee simpson (get outta my head?!), the talking heads, bruce springsteen, journey, erase errata (this is not exactly pop but it kind of is, it sounds like happy music at least, and they are totally lesbians).

andrew, candy's room! oh my god the build up in that song! seriously i can't handle how hard he rocks when he does it up right.
the keys are way too loud in the mix, but otherwise this live version from '78 is so so good...
i love springsteen. give me "nebraska". "darkness on the edge of town" or "the ghost of tom joad" any day.
there's this song on "darkness" called "candy's room".... MAAAAN that song rules. love it love it.
