VH1's Scream Queens

i think you and i might be the only ones here watching it.

I have tried to watch it, but boy, it's just not a good show. None of the girls are good (I know one of them - sorry!) and they make Shawnee seem so bitchy. She's so sweet and ditzy in real life, nothing like on the show. I love James Gunn, but they make him seem lechery.

Hm.

Just can't get into it!

I watch it mainly to watch the behind the scenes stuff.. to see how they film stuff.. and get the actresses to express them self in certain scenes.

Scream Queen would be a dream job for me.. just never acted before

for the REAL behind the scenes info, you need to subscribe to james gunn's myspace blog. there's so much inside stuff there that you will not find anywhere else.

for me, there will only ever be three scream queens: linnea quigley, brinke stevens and michelle bauer. debbie rochon is as close to a modern equivalent as you can get. look at her IMDB page! that's not even all the movies she's been in. plus, she knows EVERYTHING about the horror genre. i'd say debbie should be on the show, but she's actually too good.

but i do like the "scream queens" show. set up, edited and shot just like "flavor of love" or "celebrity fit club", only instead of competing for the affections of a musician or losing weight, the women are given mostly legitimate acting challenges and judged accordingly (the high fall seemed a bit much, i don't think any filmmaker would ask an actor to do that).

i have to admit, i'm hooked and have been watching the show each week. just during the first episode alone, the contestants had to convince a chainsaw killer not to gut them, pretend to choke on poisoned fruit, and freak out in a bathtub with a snake in it. while this probably fits better on the E! channel, i don't care. i dug it much more than i likely would any music VH-1 would play.

the most uninteresting parts, women being catty and gossip-y during the down time between challenges, thankfully was kept to a minimum. i think the producers of the show realize the scream queen portions are much more entertaining to watch.

tanedra howard wins, and i rule for knowing it all along.

I did a good job calling this one. watching all the real life scream queens paid off and I was able to predict who would win!

well if it's "reality" television, it only makes sense the real-est girl should win, the one who we at home have more in common with.
