I've been thinking about it since you posted it here...

I don't think it would be too hard to do,

Would you guys like to have online chats with females we like in the horror world? I think it could be fun.

One of the websites I write for (Retro Slashers) has a thing where we meet up and all watch a horror movie together.

He already has a chat room, if you don't mind a few strangers and watching a slasher flick, we could probably arrange something...

We've already done My Bloody Valentine, New Year's Evil, Silent Night, Deadly Night and Slumber Party Massacer. I really want to do The Mutilator, but Pieces might be good and it's easy to find...

I never seem to be able to stay the whole movie.

But arranged chats with females as guest celebrities on the site could be cool...

The Horror Channel has had a lot of success here. We did celebrity chats for Rejects, Silent Hill, and a few others. Most of the time we had the celeb call in to our conference line, and I did the typing for them. They were a blast -- I never thought I'd get to spend an hour talking to Rob Zombie!

We also have a regular movie/chat feature every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We have a core group of regulars and new people coming in all the time. Sometimes the director or other person involved in the film will be there, but that's been a bit iffy since we've found most of the people would rather socialize than discuss the film in great depth.

I haven't forgotten you Gaby! We're trying to figure out what would be a good slasher flick that most people can get and we're shooting for sometime in the beginning of August.

I'll have more details as they happen.

i think it'll be difficult for those of us who know each other (via the forums and whatnot) to keep on subject. i think a chat would be tangent city. and bad joke city. and dirty.

Speaking of, I have to email Keith the master of the webmaster (He does the stuff I can't do) and ask him about chatroom database creation.... fun stuff.

I think that one's funny, but in general I loathe the Prince-speak. These young'uns...the way they communicate nowadays...it's as if Prince and Ingsoc Newspeak had a language baby.

Oh, and does it always have to be a celebrity-riddled chat or can there just be a chat room always available? I visit a comics forum that has that option- you can see who's in there, just click and join. It's DOPE!

I seriously doubt it would ever be utilized to its potential relying solely on the drunken sots that frequent BumsCorner, so feel free to hop in and test the waters. The software is pretty slick and easy to set up.

And if there's not a ton of people using it on either side, maybe a combination PS/BC chat lounge could get enough people mingling.

It's hard to get any testing done on our site...we're anti-social.

we have four separate working databases that run on this site...
We got lucky with our host. He's an amazing guy who is very accoodating. But I'd need a 5th databse to run the chat directly off of PHPNuke whcih would make more sense.
