| New 'Twilight' posters & trailers! |
|
There are two new trailers/teasers and a new poster (click image to the left to enlarge) for the vampire/romance film Twilight, out November 21, directed by Catherine Hardwicke and based on the book by Stephanie Meyer, with screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg.
Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart)'s mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn’t expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Edward can run faster than a mountain lion, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands – and he hasn’t aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he’s immortal. But he doesn’t have fangs, and he doesn’t drink human blood. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for – a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), the Cullens’ mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her? Read on to watch the new teaser/trailers!...

| Rie Rasmussen shoots new thriller film 'Romancing The Dark' |
|
Supermodel-turned-genre director Rie Rasmussen has completed her feature film debut! EuropaCorp, Luc Besson's French film company, produced the thriller Romance the Dark, their second film with Rasmussen (her first is the horror short she wrote and directed called Thinning The Herd). Read our interview with Rie.
Set against the conflict in Kosovo and mafia activities in Marseille, its story of a young woman battling to break free of her destiny. As a witness and protagonist of horrifying events, Adria struggles to carve out a life for herself in a merciless world. Never free to plot her own course, she has a sense of trying to exist in a prison without bars. From air strikes in Belgrade to the underworld of Europe, from lust at first sight to just holding hands, Adria's attempts to find her balance and identity are constantly undermined by the violent and mostly male environments she cannot escape. It's not her game but she's learning fast... Romance The Dark is the first feature by multi-talented actress, model and artist Rie Rasmussen who made her debut in front of the camera in Brian de Palma's Femme Fatale and more recently starred opposite Jamel Debbouze in Luc Besson's soulful Angel-A.

| Christy Marx: Creator of 'Jem & The Holograms' |
|
Little girls in the 1980s all over the world wanted to be Jem. Jem had pink hair, her own band, a mansion, ran a charity for cool girls who had run away from home called The Starlight Foundation, and had friends with purple, blue, and red hair. Jem also had a double identity and a hot boyfriend named Rio who was not the center of her universe. When she wasn’t singing for charity, Jem was fighting the “bad” girls of the band The Misfits, who constantly wanted to create chaos and steal Jem’s glory. Jem was also a cartoon, and she was created and written by one Christy Marx, who managed to create the first truly outrageous character who wasn’t a superhero and who liked the things that real little girls did: shopping, glitter, music, pink, and being awesome. Christy joins us for an interview about the legacy of Jem and the Holograms…

As Tess becomes the next target in line, she finds herself seeking answers from Taku, an underground film dealer with the unsavory nickname of "freak boy" and the moral integrity of a rattlesnake. But showing up voluntarily at Taku's lair, Tess finds herself in even more danger than when she was on her own. If the two can survive each other, they may just be able to live through this deadly email. As the clock ticks and the body count mounts, the two must untangle the puzzle to stop "Watch Me" from its poisonous rampage.

Zack Ward, red-headed and bemuscled, is a sexy man. He’s also the star of the most recent Uwe Boll video game adaptation, Postal, in which he plays a man who gets to shoot an automatic weapon at random people on the street. Nice. You might remember little Zacky from his role as the bully Scut Farkus in Bob Clark’s A Christmas Story back in 1983 or from his stint as Dave on the TV series Titus. But what you probably don’t remember is this ruddy Canadian’s career in such genre fare as Fred Olen Ray’s 1995 Starhunter, the disaster-sci-fi Atomic Train, Freddy Vs. Jason, and numerous TV appearances on shows like Charmed, The Outer Limits, Lost, Friday the 13th The Series, Forever Knight, Sliders and my personal favorite – Boogie’s Diner. You recently saw him as Sergeant Donnelly in Transformers and as Billy the Kid in Bloodrayne II. He’ll be in the upcoming horror movies Alone in the Dark II (again, Uwe Boll strikes), Dead and Gone and the tentatively titled Gehenna project Ice 44. Zack is witty, funny, and extremely sexy. He is the only red-headed stud to date, so check him out and be floored by how hot he is…
