I was saddened to learn this afternoon that filmmaker John Polonia of the Polonia Brothers passed away yesterday from a heart aneurysm at the age of 39. My thoughts and prayers go out to his brother, and my good friend, Mark Polonia and John's family.

I had the pleasure of meeting John at the Monster Bash convention in Pittsburgh last year. He was there with Mark and Mark's son Anthony. Mark and John both signed my FEEDERS 1 & 2 double feature DVD. John wrote, "To our #1 fan!" on the cover. I have it by my side right now. I was very fortunate to having had the pleasure of meeting him and getting his signature.

You can read quotes regarding his passing from Jeff Dylan Graham, Joe Sherlock, Brett Piper, Tim Ritter, and Ron Bonk at Brett Kelly's website here: www.brettkelly.net/poloniatribute

John,

You were certainly an inspiration to many people in the world of low budget horror movies. We will miss you dearly.

Regards,

Mario

I agree, that is way too young to go. My sympathies.

So so tragic and young. Just not fair that he didn't have more time.
