Why wasn't Bruce Campbell in this film?
He didn't want to get licked by a creepy old hag.
Drag me to Hell Contest
Sadly, Bruce Campbell had to turn down a role because he was busy shooting "Burn Notice."
However, if you listen closely, you can hear the voice of Ted Raimi as Lohman's doctor.

you're both signed up! Winners will be notified via email on october 13th (I guess I should have written that in the contest rules. oops!)
Bruce Campbell...
...wasn't in the film because he was otherwise engaged shooting a movie. Which is a shame, because I likes me some of dat Bruce! ;-)
Because his chin got caught
Because his chin got caught in a worse movie.
His Name is Bruce
Bruce Campbell sadly could not be in this movie because he was off being awesome. Also because this movie was titled "Drag Me to Hell" and not "The Evil Dead."
Hmmmm
He couldn't star in this movie because the directors/producers wouldn't allow his particular brand of silly campy horror humor. Their loss, I say.
Why wasn't Bruce in DMTH?
Bruce wasn't there because he didn't suck Sam's d*ck long enough to be in this one ;) haha, kidding of course...or am I?
All jokes aside, I loved this movie, saw it 3 times and would just love to have it on DVD!
Where's Bruce?
Why wasn't Bruce Campbell in this film?
Well, poor Bruce has been in a deep depression ever since he & his Chin decided to part ways after a bitter 'creative differences' argument on the set of Cave Alien 3. Refusing to acknowledge the Godardian underpinnings of the central theme, the fed-up Chin left Bruce to engage in a tristate killing spree with Harvey Keitel's penis.
Put me down for the contest. Thanks!
Why wasn't Bruce Campbell in this film?
His scheduling didn't allow him to star. He was still filming with Burn Notice, and I believe another film (possibly Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs). It's a bummer he didn't do this.
No Wheels
He couldn't make it because the gypsy lady stole his ride. Love this movie!
Mr.Bruce Campbell
I believe that Mr.Campbell couldn't be in Drag Me To Hell because he had to another film at the time.
Maybe a sequel? Getting Christine out of Hell.
The real reason why....
Bruce Campbell wasn't in Drag Me to Hell was because he was kidnapped and dragged off to some god-forsaken mining town called Gold Lick to help save the town from the demon Guan-Di, ancient protector of bean curd. Lucky for the town, Bruce had kinda blown through all the Evil Dead money and his evil Hollywood bitch ex-wife ran off with his agent and left him living in a trailer so Bruce had the time to help.
Besides it was really good character research in case he ever decides to make a movie about an actor being mistaken for one his roles, then kidnapped and forced to save small town from an ancient Chinese demon that gets unleashed after some stupid teenagers desecrate the tragic resting site of Chinese laborer's souls. Man, can you imagine, that would be the most awesomest movie ever! I bet it would even get nominated for an academy award and Mr. B movie legend would move on up to the A-list. Move over Jay Leno's chin!
I can't believe you guys didn't know all this. It was only documented in his autobiographical movie My Name is Bruce. Some Bruce Campbell fans you are!
Contest Entry
He had to turn it down because he was shooting Burn Notice...and after that he had a Xena the Warrier Princess convention
Why?
I shouldn't be telling you this, but Bruce didn't apppear in Drag Me to Hell because...Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi are the SAME PERSON. Think about it...
