Sam Raimi & Tarantino advice for aspiring filmmakers

Cheers, Heidi. Man, I've been trying to break into novel and screenwriting for so long and sometimes I feel like I'll never get there. But the minute I think that, I call myself a loser and get back to it.

It really does start with the idea, and then the passion to bring it to life. I realize now I may have to make my movies rather than sell their blueprints, because being a nobody who writes stuff that pushes the boundaries a little is getting me ZERO love. Fucking gatekeepers. And hardly any of the middle men have any balls whatsoever.

Ah well, that's my moan for the year.
