Roosevelt's second Bill of Rights

We were so close to having a more democratic nation - if only roosevelt hadn't died before he was able to enact his Second bill of rights -
I think it is extremely telling that I have never run accross this speech anywhere - never run into it in a history class (though the gettysburg address is everywhere in the history books) or heard another president reference it (though how many times have we heard washington or JFK quoted?) because of its deeply socialist message: Free education, free healthcare, adequate housing, adequate payment for a useful job, and rights for small businesses like freedom from large monopolies.
I think big business would have had him killed. They had already conspired once to overthrow the US government in the 30's.
