New 'Jennifer's Body' promo featurette

Check out this new promo featurette with mini-interviews with Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Karyn Kusama, and Diablo Cody for Jennifer's Body, the new horror movie coming out September 18th 2009, directed by Karyn Kusama (Aeon Flux, unfortunately).
I don't know. Diablo uses the words 'Cinematic and Atmospheric', whilc Megan promises that this film will 'shock us'. Hm.
Unfortunately, from what I've seen so far, the movie seems predictable and shallow. Check out the new promo below and decide for yourself...

As a writer, I can't help but
As a writer, I can't help but admire Diablo Cody's literary talent, and it's evident in everything she touches, even United States of Tara. I don't really get why she's chosen to waste that talent in a slick, totally manipulated mainstream environment, but the same could be said for most of my favorite mainstream screenwriters, so no big deal. Juno was a good movie, in an airbrushed, totally manipulative kind of way. As long as Cody keeps her dialogue strong, I'll try to watch everything she puts out, including Jennifer's Body. It doesn't even matter if I like her movies - her literary ability is worth the ticket price.
To nitpick other aspects of the movie - this main actress seems one dimensional, and the movie's overall tone looks too bright and slick - basically Juno with monsters. The trailer looked pretty bad.
