Mr. January: John Fallon
Arrow in the Head, a subsite of the the larger JoBlo.com phenomenon. But why waste those looks sitting in front of a computer? John Fallon has his eyes on an acting career. He can be seen in this month's Alone in the Dark, the Uwe Boll flick starring Christian Slater, Tara Reid, and the yummy Stephen Dorff. John plays a hot guy who does something (who knows? John told me but I wasn't paying attention). A Man's man, Mr. Fallon is kind of a tough-guy-but-sweet-to-the-ladies type. John also has quite a reputation for being something of a playboy....is this bad rap undeserved? Is John just a victim of vicious rumors? No. He's the bad boy we love to love...Also, he's all French-like cause he comes from Montreal.

John in Alone in the Dark as Disposable Extra #972
John Fallon's Turn-Ons:
The sight of the ocean, the sound of waves crashing in, a bottle of Jack Daniels calling my name and a Big Mac meeting my lips. In a woman; intelligence, a passionate streak, self confidence, an artistic inclination, a sense of humor and a 'wild' side (not psychotic though; I get too many of those). Physically; I'll have full lips, expressive eyes and a heart shaped behind to go please! Thanks!

John Fallon's Turn-Offs:
Rappers in horror films, the current overt genre remake trend, people who wear fur and non smoking sections. In a woman; stupidity, materialism, insecurity, (which is the root of all evil in my opinion), frigidness, dishonesty and lack of creativity or enthusiasm in the sack. Physically; bad BO and an over-abundance of body hair will make sure to chase me away.

The Beat was a bumpin' and the girlies was hot

What's sexier, A woman who speaks her mind or a woman who knows when to shut up?

John in "Recon 2020". I think it's about The Future...
Neither; I like a woman who manages to hit the middle with emotional balance while sporting the required self-assurance and intellect to back up what she says. Now that's damn sexy!

John was the voice of the Looney Doll in Freakout. That movie also stars the sexy Dan Palmer...
Fave Horror movie?
I can never pick just one or 20 for that matter! I'll say that: Aliens, Angel Heart, Audition, The Crow, Evil Dead, Friday the 13th: Part 6, Haute Tension, The Hitcher, Lost Highway, Near Dark, Psycho, Suspiria and Witch Hunter Robin (the Manga) are way up there.

Your favorite interview?
Interviewing writer/director Eric Red (The Hitcher/Body Parts) years ago was my top sit down. Not only was it a treat for me to blab with the man who initially inspired me to write screenplays when I was younger, but that dialogue led to us becoming work partners and good friends. I was actually his 'Best Man' at his recent wedding and for me that was quite the honor. Life works in bizarre ways.

Man standing next to Guns. Need we say more?
Say something really dirty, but hot, in French for the ladies...:
Ma belle, va me chercher un Big Mac Combo sil-vous-plait! Merci! Oh, et quand tu reviendras, pourrais tu te mettre a genous? J'ai quelque chose a te montrer.

On the set of "Dead Like Them" John spent alot of time on his makeup.
Who is the sexiest horror actress past/present?
Not a horror actress (she was almost in Cursed though) but Mandy Moore is my sole "celebrity" crush and has been for a while. She cranks my dial on all levels.
What actor, past/present, inspires you?

More Guns and Man next to said Guns.
When I was younger; Stallone, Van Damme and Schwarzenegger were my heroes; they motivated me in terms of their willpower and "go for it" attitude when it came to the film industry. I also loved and still love their machismo heavy films! While in acting school; I idolized the Holy Trinity: God 'Marlon Brando'Â, The Son: James Dean, The Holy Ghost: Mickey Rourke. Today I would say that Mickey Rourke is my more prominent influence. I relate to him in more ways than one.
Why do people from the US make fun of Canada?

JoBlo and The Arrow. Canadians. French Canadians.
I don't know I'm not American! To be honest, I detest any type of politics and don't consider myself to be part of any group other than the 'human species'Â (and even there I wonder sometimes).
Why is your website better than the other horror entertainment websites out there (aside from pretty/scary)?
Because I love Paul Anderson's body of work and that's rare out there. In all seriousness, I don't think my site is better than anybody else's. All of the horror sites on the net-slab are singular in their approach and I personally get something weighty out of all of them. We all complement each other. In regards to my site, all I can say is that it reflects 'me'Â, where I allow a lot of my flawed personality to seep through it, more so than a standard 'journalist/critic/a-hole' should. For better and for worse, Arrow in the Head is testosterone fueled, brutally honest, self indulgent and sometimes offensive/politically incorrect; solely because that's the way I am as a person. People take it or leave it.
Love/Hate horror conventions?

Arrow. In the Head...Oh, I get it!
I enjoy them in small doses. The upsides are meeting the fans, hooking up with horror stars that I've always liked and talking shop with other genre addicts. The downsides are the occasional horror personality with grating delusions of grandeur, the usual disorganized nature of the conventions (Will they ever get it right!) and the freaking never ending line-ups. I also tend to get people-phobic when staying within a large crowd for too long. All that to say; I go back and forth as to my liking for horror conventions.
What can people see you in this upcoming year? (Aside from Alone in the Dark)
On the acting front; I have a part in Recon 2020 as a mercenary/rapist (what else is new) and that will be out at the end of the year on DVD. There's already talk of me appearing in the sequel Recon 2020: The Mezzo Conspiracy which should go into production this year. In addition I have the lead role in Dead Like Them (helmed by Samhain director Christian Viel) which I co-wrote with Viel. We started shooting last year, had to stop due to conflicts with the Unions and should be resuming production this year; release date is unknown as of now. I also have a voice cameo (the Loony Doll) in Freak Out which Anchor Bay just picked up for release this year. There's also talk of me appearing in Dante Tomaselli's (HORROR) next film The Ocean.
Eric Red and I also have a couple of things broiling on the grill but I won't say anything until the papers are signed and the checks clear. I learned my lesson on that! Lastly I'm presently writing two screenplays on my end and am still actively trying to get my directorial debut The Red Hours off the ground. The latter is four years in the making thus far. Whoever said the film industry was easy knew which meat puppet to chew on - it's a tough racket from where I'm standing.

I have touched John's Shoulder. Therefore, I have touched the man that touched Stephen Dorff....
