Mr. December: Cory Knauf

Do you like them young? Then you'll love Cory Knauf. This hot actor can be seen in horror films like the recent The Hamiltons, which played in the After Dark Horror Fest, and he just wrapped Pocahuantus, a horror film directed by a chick. He's really cute. You'll want to take him to Prom, and then get him drunk afterwards. He's also our Scary Stud of December, and he's ready to share some interesting and intimate details with us...

What was your first kiss like?

From what I remember I was pretty nervous. It was a long time ago though so I can't quite remember. I think I was playing spin the bottle or something ridiculous like that.

Cory smiles, though he is crushed under the weight of his own beauty

Who do like more: Ginger, or Mary Ann, and why?

Ginger of course. Sure it's shallow but come on, she's a looker.

Are you more of a Gilligan or a Professor?

Professor. I'm pretty rational about things. I think sometimes I have a little Gilligan in me. I can definitely tap into him if I need, but for the most part it's the professor.

Green, or Blue? probably depends on the shirt...

Cat person? or dog person?

I hate cats with a passion. There's something haunting about them. Those slits in their eyes, they're like serpents. You can't tell what a cat is thinking, they look at you with a Damien-esque stare and they are probably thinking " this guy would taste good." Dogs have an honesty about them. You can tell when they are mad, happy, sad, angry. You know exactly what they are thinking and feeling.

Tell us about your character in The Hamiltons...

I play Francis Hamilton, the youngest brother of orphaned siblings. I'm a loner, I don't have anyone to confide in sense my parents died. I'm dealing with the notion that life is lived without a safety net. I don't have Mom, I don't have Dad; I'm all alone.

Can you talk about Pocahauntus and the other horror/thrillers you've been involved with?

Pocahauntus was a lot of fun. It was a character I hadn't played before so creative process was awesome. Plus everyone on set was and made it a memorable experience. As far as Sweet Insanity goes - It was my first film, I was new, and I used it as an absolute learning experience. Consider me a sponge.

What new projects will you have coming out later this year?

Using his time machine, Cory went back to 1985 and took this picture, posing as one of the original Cories (Feldman and Haimes)

There are several in various stages of development. A good friend of mine Adam Carver, who directed an awesome short called No More Trophies For Everything, has a feature script that I like a lot. We're trying to make something happen with that. There are some other things in the works as well but nothing I'd like to mention at this time.

If you could play any role from any horror film ever, who would you play, and why?

Jack Nicholson in The Witches of Eastwick. Not really horror I know. It was just so great, so layered. The man is absolutely entertaining, and in this film he was amazing.

This is Cory with some really hot girl who is probably his girlfriend, but we'll just pretend that its his sister. Also, I think they are still in 1985 in this picture.

What's the most romantic thing a woman has ever done for you?

My girlfriend baked me cookies when I was going away for a while to work on a film. It's cheesy I know, but these were absolutely the best peanut butter cookies I had ever eaten. I'm lactose intolerant and she went the extra mile and used completely non-dairy ingredients. A much more tedious task.

Cory as Bastian, in The Neverending Story 4, out this Spring on DVD!

Is there a horror film that you saw this year that you liked? (The Hamiltons does not count)

As much as a lot of other people bagged it I really liked Wolf Creek. I thought it was very well done. Of course I also loved The Devil's Rejects although it came out last year. Can't answer this question without bringing up that flick.

What's more frightening: Celebrities who serially adopt foreign children, or cockroaches?

I'm down with adoption. Too many children being brought up poor and desolate. Adoption offers these kids a fighting chance at life. Cockroaches crawl on the ground and eat debris. Need I say more.

Re: Cory Knauf: Mr. December

Cute guy. And old enough to drink, despite his youthful appearance. But you're never too old for the prom! Laughing out loud
