"'You'll never know the fear of losing someone like you if you're someone like me.' - Annie Wilkes, Misery"
Hey
Hey I'm Dee. I watched a documentary called pretty bloody and that's how I found this site. I'm a social worker, youth activist and I run a recording studio and sound production business.
My favorite horror movies are High Tension, Martyrs, Evil dead 1,2, army of darkness, Halloween (the original, Black Christmas (the original), Dawn of the dead (remake and original, Texas chainsaw massacre (original and first remake), all the friday the 13th's, nightmare on elm street part 1, the last house on the left (original) well I think you get it lol.
Nice to meet you all!
Yeah social work is tough but I don't go into ppls homes and take their kids or anything so it's not too bad. If you wanna check out my studio that I own with my bf Mark we're on myspace at www.myspace.com/smashboxrecording. I loved evil dead 2! Some people can't even sit and watch it because they think it's a little too stupid. Not me I think it's brilliant haha same with Killer Clowns from outer space..absolute classic cinema hahahaha do you guys make short films or anything?
ahhh sweeeet! That's the way those movies SHOULD have been. I would have realllly liked them, then.
Dee, I made a short horror film with Filmgal called 'wretched':
I am also going to shoot something else this summer, if I get my crap together, and I have been in lots of really low budget horrible horror movies.
Oh yes I heard about Wretched on the Graveyard show podcast..didn't get to see though...interesting concept..a horror movie about bulimia. I was in a low budget film called morrow and I also did sound and make-up for it. It was so much fun.
If ever you are looking for music composed for a particular part of your future projects, or want to use a song recorded at my studio you are more than welcome

That's really nice! Thank you!

I think you're putting scurvy back on the map, KT! Who knows, it could become the hip thing to have among the Hollywood set. Here's hoping everyone from The Hills gets it first.
Just read a great horror novel by Dan Simmons called The Terror, and it deals with scurvy in depth. Nasty stuff. But if ever got it, I'd just listen to that tune and feel happy and lucky.
It takes place on TWO boats, actually. It's a fictionalized account of the Franklin expedition that failed to discover the Northwest Passage. The boats are stuck in the ice and are trying their best to survive with spoiling rations and something out there on the ice that's ripping them apart. Fantastic stuff.
And I meant to ask, the photo in your avatar, have you been caught mid-hand jive?

Wow! That sounds good!

Okay, I think if we wait a few hours you will see it is changed. It may need a minute to update in the system (not sure why).
On another note, if you link me to the image you want, or email it to me at heidi@pretty-scary.net, I can go in and attemptto manually change it as an admin...
