Athens Ciné confirmed with me several days ago that my proposal for a Women In Horror film festival has been accepted, and they'll be hosting the event on February 27th, 2010. The program will consist of several short horror films written and directed by women, a few of whom will be on hand to participate in audience Q&A following the show.

I'm still putting the schedule together, but here are the films we're planning to show so far:

"Belated by Valentine's Lover" (Ruby Larocca)
"Safety F.I.R.S.T." (Dayna Knoffke)
"Wretched" (Heidi somebody)
"Fox Holes" (Monica whatserface)
"Untitled Murder Thing" (Countess Samela)
"Shit Filled Cupcakes" (Shasta Fairchild)

More updates to follow. Wish us luck!

Did you ever get the tapes back, Heidi? We need to recut Wretched at full resolution instead of draft resolution plus fix some problems with it.

Shannon Lark is sending me a bunch of stuff. Elisabeth Fies (The Commune) is looking at making a short before the end of the year. Stacie needs to send me a DVD of "Taste of Flesh, Taste of Fear".

Looks like I'll have my program set by January. Get to it, folks.
