Sending chills down your spine as the story unfolds, Hurt seizes its audience in a macabre web of terror before revealing its twisted core.

The Coltrane family’s life has been devastated by an untimely death. Widowed Helen Coltrane (Melora Walters of Big Love), along with her teenage son (Jackson Rathbone of Twilight) and daughter, are given shelter by her reclusive and quirky gun-loving brother-in-law. As they grapple with the reality of their shattered, altered life and twist of fate, coincidence steps in with a seemingly lovely foster child (Sofia Vassilieva of Medium) who appears touting a story that Helen’s husband had pledged to take her in. And as they do, a macabre story of deception unfolds...

Hurt, a taut, psychological thriller and character-driven family drama, was co-written by Alison Lea Bingeman (CSI:Miami; NCIS) based on a story by Eduardo Levy and James Martin. Director Barbara Stepansky, an AFI graduate in Directing, is a Student Emmy winner for Best Director and the recipient of the Franklin J. Schaffner AFI Fellow Award. The film was produced by Levy and Martin, with Nikolette Orlandou (Scary Movie 4) serving as line producer.
