"'No man may have me, unless he's beaten me in a fair fight.'- Red Sonja, Red Sonja (1985)"
Agony
I would like to introduce to you, Pretty-scary.net, Childrin R Skary.net! Some of you may already be aware of this lovely little gem of a website, but if even one of you is not, then it's duty calls for me.
Childrin R Skary is a website of flash videos, pictures and prints from the mind of Katy Towell, who was actually an exemplary student and well-behaved from Kansas. Nowadays, she lives in Los Angeles as an illustrator and a writer. She also collects antiques, and - so I hear - dreams of one day, being the scary old lady down the street, which kids fear.
I applaud her art and her videos, because they give horror a subtle spin that is usually so rare nowadays. Sure, children are a little scary, but Miss Towell has seemed to have put a charming, whimsical spin on the matter.

Katy Towell has a wonderful gift for telling stories. Some of her more popular videos are streamed all over on her YouTube.com Profile. My personal favorites include Ida's Luck, Never Woke Up, and When Genevieve Ruled the World

As you can see, she's also got an impressive collection of illustrations from her website. They portray the darker side of childhood emotions, the things you really feel and the things you really want to do. I don't know about you guys, but I was one of those freaky fat children that hid in the library and read Tolstoy during recess. I never threw too many tantrums, really, but that was because my parents told me not to, regardless of how I felt.

I believe that Katy Towell speaks to the darker side of childhood. I love the art, and I also love that it has a sick sense of humor. I think that fear is something to be felt, explored and can be funny. Fear is a great entertainer - why else would there be such a huge horror industry with increasingly poor quality? Katy Towell's world is such a breath of fresh air with her charming cartoons. Her newest creation for Halloween is a toon called Agony. It is a bona fide way to make you realize, with creeping horror, the main character's monologue is very true. These videos are gorgeous collaborations between Miss Towell and her fabulously British vocalist, Tim Jones. So next time you feel like hitting YouTube or want to look at a new website or two, look up Katy Towell. I'm pretty sure you'll at least get a chuckle out of her gallery. I sure did.

Wow!
Would you mind if I reposted your forum post as an article on the front page? This stuff is amazing.
