Marcus Koch’s recent killer clown slasher gorefest presents us with the story of two tabloid reporters (Joe Davison and Georgia Chris) who are out looking for a new story for their publication. A rash of killings by a circus clown known as “The Teardrop Killer” causes a stir and the two believe they’ve found their big break...
But trying to get information from locals on the clown and the recent killing spree turns out to be tougher than they thought. They look for answers from a circus midget and soon details on the killer’s past come to light and help them further understand his motivations.

Jennifer's been through hell and back!
100 Tears is one of the most over-the-top, gory and brutal indie slashers in recent years. The body count is HUGE and the first fifteen minutes feature a big massacre in a halfway house where Gurdy the clown goes on a bloody rampage with his gigantic meat cleaver. There’s multiple beheadings, a guy has his head sectioned into fours horizontally with a cleaver, a head is split in half, heads are crushed, torsos are ripped open with buzz saws, guts are pulled out, one guy is strangled with his own intestines, people are cut in half, feet and arms are chopped off, throats are sliced, an eyeball is bitten out, a head is bashed to bits with a sledgehammer, etc., etc. It is definitely the goriest killer clown movie I’ve ever seen.

Speechless
Joe Davison (who also wrote and produced) provides most of the movie’s humor with his performance and Raine Brown is great as Christine Greaston, a girl who or may not have something to do with the murders. Indie scream king Jeff Dylan Graham is featured as a victim. Marcus Koch’s Oddtopsy FX Group handled all the gore effects and I must say they did a splendid job.

Christopher Jacobson (Steven) finds it hard to get up.
The Anthem Pictures DVD of 100 Tears contains plenty of extras including an audio commentary with Marcus Koch and Joe Davison, a “making of” featurette, behind-the-scenes footage, deleted scenes, outtakes, and trailers.
Fans of recent gore-filled slashers like Hatchet, Gutterballs and Home Sick will find much to enjoy with 100 Tears. It delivers in humor and gore and has some insanely over-the-top moments that are worth multiple viewings.
