Jamie Lee Curtis and moms everywhere think Halloween is too scary for kids. She's wrong.
Submitted by Superheidi on 10/30/2009
Today on her Huffington Post Blog, Jamie Lee Curtis (best known to horror fans as the original Lori Strode in John Carpenter's Halloween, as well as the star of thr original The Fog, Prom Night and Terror Train), shows us she's actually very anti-horror on Halloween.
Her desire to 'tone down' the gore on halloween, especially when it comes to kids, just really gets my panties in a twisted, bleeding bunch.
"Halloween, the holiday, is a breeding ground for a seemingly unending gruesome gore fest," says Curtis. "Has it always been this way? I don't think so. I remember Halloween as a time to dress up in a costume other than myself. That was what was fun..."
Megan Fox 'Won't Do Nudity'
Submitted by Superheidi on 09/10/2009
Megan Fox, star of Transformers 2 and Jennifer's Body, does not want to ever be nude, ever, because she thinks she's fat and also because she probably doesn't believe that her career is actually just based on men wanting to see her naked.
"Ugh, never!" said the actress to MTV. "That's the last thing I want to see -- what I look like having sex. It would take one shot of me not looking good and I would not be able to have sex ever again, because I would always just see myself looking like a hippo having sex."
"I can't ever imagine myself doing nudity in a film," she said. "It lives forever, especially now, with the Internet. I just can't. I just can't." One less reason to see Jennifer's Body, I suppose.
Megan Fox does a PSA for 'Jennifer's Body'
Submitted by Superheidi on 08/14/2009
Actress Megan Fox (Transformers 2, Toe Thumb) recently did a Public Service Announcement-type ad for her upcoming horror flick Jennifer's Body, written by that girl Diablo Cody (Juno) and directed by Karyn Kusama (Aeon Flux.)
What's awesome is that its supposed to be funny, but it isn't. This is because Megan Fox lacks all comedic timing. While she is arguably a very gorgeous woman, sometimes, regrettably, you've gotta just shut up and smile when you don't have a funny bone in your body. Check out the PSA below, which points out how horrible high school can be (I'm sure it was a nightmare for petite, brown pretty Megan...)
Sarah Palin exposes Nazi-like 'Death Panel' Left Wing Agenda
Submitted by Superheidi on 08/10/2009
Outstandingly brave former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin revealed a formerly secret plan of the Socialist Party to create 'death panels' in which elderly, sick, or mentally disabled people would be 'put to death' in gruesome and disgusting ways after being found obsolete by a group of high-ranking, anonymous male government agents sitting atop obelisk-like corporate art-deco thrones. Palin, who recently stepped down as Governor of Alaska because she could no longer be a part of the Evil that seeks to destroy humanity as we know it, risks her life by revealing this Communist hidden agenda cleverly hidden on page 425 of the seemingly harmless House Democratic Bill which pretends to be about health care reform...
Catherine Hardwicke debunks the 'Dallas Howard/Lefevre' problem in 'Twilight'
Submitted by Superheidi on 08/10/2009
So, lately Twilight fans have been crybabies because Bryce Dallas Howard (famous for being cute and Ron Howard's daughter) is taking over the role of evil vampiress Victoria (played by Rachel Lefevre in the first two Twilight films), and Twilight fans don't like change. It's been wondered why this change was made, but frankly - Howard is a much bigger star and that's all you need to know. Also, who cares?
Catherine Hardwicke, who directed the first Twilight film, confirms that Howard was their first choice all along, but the role was too 'small' for her. That's why, in the third film, the role of Victoria has been built up and now Howard will deign to do it. Catherine spoke about it at the Teen Choice Awards on August 9th, and also talks about her latest project - a modern thriller based on Hamlet...
Real Life 'Dead Girl': Kids find and play with corpse for 11 days
Submitted by Superheidi on 08/07/2009
If you thought the idea of a bunch of teenagers hanging out with a dead zombie chick and having sex with her in the new horror film Dead Girl was just fiction, check out this sick story all the way from Auckland, New Zealand.
An 8-year-old boy found a body in a creek near his house on July 25, 2009 in Auckland and played with it. Because he thought it was a crocodile corpse. He was stupid. He and his friends hung out with the dead woman's corpse for 11 days, poking at it and playing with it, before some shocked adult finally discovered what they were up to...
Stephenie Meyer: Sued for Plagiarism
Submitted by Superheidi on 08/05/2009
So, some unknown author named Jordan Scott claims that Stephenie Meyer plagiarized her novel that no one has ever read called The Nocturne in parts of the Twilight Series book Breaking Dawn (which I wish was called Breaking Wind because that would be funny.) Even though the people at TwilightLexicon (yes, that's a site) did a copyright search and proved that Forever Dawn (the original name of Breaking Dawn) was copyrighted on Jan 5, 2004 and Scott's book The Nocturne was copywrighted nearly 4 years later on September 19th, 2008, this lame-ass lawsuit exists and a lawyer has actually taken it.
Yahoo News reported that Scott insists the following points are too similar to be anything but copied...
Real-Life 'Inside': Woman Killed, Fetus Cut From Body
Submitted by Superheidi on 07/30/2009
We thought the twisted, gory French horror movie Inside was just a thing of fiction; it turns out we are wrong. Wrong. And so is this story. This past Monday, 23-year-old Darlene Haynes was found slain in her apartment closet, authorities said, and her 8-month old fetus had been torn from her womb.
35-year old Julie A. Corey has been charged with the murder when she mysteriously showed up with a newborn (despite having not been pregnant) in Plymouth, New Hampshire at the same time that the investigation into the death of Darlene Haynes, was being conducted...
Woman Performs Plastic Surgery on Herself
Submitted by Superheidi on 07/22/2009
A seriously deranged (and vain) woman tried to give herself silicone injections to save a few thousand dollars while still satisfying her societally-encouraged obsession with youth and fading self-worth.
The 54-year-old woman (who has three kids, to whom I am sure she is a great role model) decided to buy her own silicone online for 10 bucks (what luck!) except that she didn't realize she wasn't buying medical-grade silicone - what she purchased and proceeded to inject herself with was actually probably industrial-grade silicone.
She calls the results horrifying, "I thought I was going to be happy with the results," she said. "Then the next day, my face became very inflamed, very red, swollen."...
R.I.P. Farrah Fawcett (1947 – 2009)
Submitted by Superheidi on 06/25/2009
By Amanda Reyes
Farrah Fawcett is an icon. As part of the original trio of ridiculously beautiful and refined detectives known as Charlie’s Angels, the actress soared to untold heights of fame. She played Jill Monroe, the fun, furtively smart girl with golden tresses and a smile that could stop a missile en route. She only played Jill for one season, but left an impact on anyone who caught the show during its original run. Fawcett passed away at the age of 62 after a long and very public battle with anal cancer. She might not ever be synonymous with horror, but her resume is overflowing with plenty of incredible genre work on the big and small screen...
