New images from Floria Sigismondi's 'The Runaways'; Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning

The new rock biopic The Runaways, written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, will screen at South by Southwest 2010 in Austin Texas, USA March 12-16 2010, and we've got some hot new images from the film.

The Runaways follows two friends, Joan Jett (Kristen Stewart) and Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning), as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. 'Pearblosson' Teaser - feminisploitation with Sophie Monk

QuietEarth revealed a new teaser trailer for the feminisploitation film Pearblossom (originally titled Murderworld) that stars Sophie Monk and Anya Lahiri as lesbian lovers with superpowers directly from God (Victoria'a Secret model Angela Lindvall). Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie's Halloween series) and Electra Avellan (annoying twin chick from Planet Terror) also star.

It's New Year's Eve, 1968: While driving on the Pearblossom Highway, a lesbian couple (Sophie Monk and Anya Lahiri) find themselves face-to-face with the creator of the universe (Angela Lindvall). Laid to rest for 40 years, the women wake up on New Year's Day as reborn creatures. Now, they walk the earth fighting in the eternal battle of good and evil, not alway certain which side they are on. Halloween 2In 2007, Rob Zombie won the ire of a multitude of horror fans in his revision of Halloween; a remake so sorely received that its release temporarily lowered the Rotten Tomatoes ‘Tomatometer’ of the 1978 original. Despite the groans and gnashing of teeth from critics and fans alike, the film was a success in one critical junction – it made money. Nothing buried underneath the dirt of so much cash ever stays dead for long. Now, two years later we bear witness to the aftermath of this financial success in Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 - God help us all!

The Governor's Wife pulled a real horror-licious casting coup, featuring everyone from Emily Bergl (The Rage: Carrie 2), Scout Taylor-Compton (Rob Zombie's Halloween), Deborah Van Valkenburgh (The Warriors-not horror but oh-so-awesome!) and Timothy Bottoms (Johnny Got His Gun). But this made for TV thriller belongs solely to the vivacious Marilu Henner who plays not just a bitch from hell, but a loony bitch from hell. The combo makes for modest fun in one of the newest Lifetime Originals...
