Women nominated for the Spike TV Scream Awards 2009

The 2009 Spike TV Scream Awards will air on Spike Oct. 27th, 2009 at 10PM/9C, and you have a vote in who gets an award. Pretty/Scary is on the nomination committee, so while we tried to get the most deserving women on the voting ballot, not one female any category except as 'actress'. That's right, not even Catherine Hardwicke made it into Best Director for Twilight, but Michael Bay did for Transformers 2.
In any case, there are a few cool nominees that we're excited about...
The Last House on the Left (2009)
Submitted by Tristan Sinns on 03/17/2009
Back in the dark ages of 1972, an unknown director wrote and released a picture that managed to nauseate audiences worldwide with sadistic violence and horrifically uncomfortable scenes of humiliation and pain. Inspired by the atrocities of the Vietnam War, this film sought to shake up movie goers by portraying the true face of senseless violence; mean, pointless, and indifferent.
This film was called The Last House on the Left.
