The 6th edition the Backseat Film Festival is back in Philadelphia on March 12-16th! Curated by hottie stud Doug Sakmann, there's a slew of awesome indie films by women that are being recognized. Check them out and support women in underground and indie film, the only form of art left in cinema.
Thursday, March 13th: 7PM Been Down That Muddy Road: The Legend of Joe Barry – Directed by Carol Carimi Acutt - Joe Barry, rock and roll legend, bad boy and tortured soul. Struggling with personal demons, Barry gave up on music to pursue his life as a pimp, used car salesman, preacher and mercenary. But he always returned to his roots of the Louisiana Bayou.
Friday, March 14th: 7pm - We Like To Drink; We Like to Play Rock n’ Roll – Directed by Lexie Shakel - The Unband made every beautiful mistake a power trio could before imploding under the weight of their success and the fallout from a variety of celebratory pastimes. Find out what made them The Unband in this powerful rock documentary.
Saturday, March 15th: 4:30pm - Jews At Sea – Co-produced by Kimberly Kane. When Peter Warren began writing for Adult Video News (AVN), it was the year of his grandparents' 60th anniversary. To celebrate, his entire family took a cruise together for a week to Alaska. There was one little problem: only his sister and his cousin knew he had just stepped foot into the porn industry ... and he had a mountain of work to somehow get done under everyone else's noses.
