We Sold Out to...

Mr. December: Connor Ross
Scary StudsYes, he’s young enough to be my illegitimate, “I had him in 9th-grade” son, but he’s still yummilicious. He’s Connor Ross, the star of director Tim Sullivan’s latest horror film Driftwood. Connor plays the ghost of a troubled youth who was mysteriously killed at a correctional facility called “Driftwood”. With several other hunky young men who often take their shirts off, including Ricky Ullman and Laguna Beach’s Talan Torriero, Driftwood is Scary Stud Country. Connor Ross’ ghostly Jonathan is a stand-out performance that will definitely get this native Texan noticed by horror fans. Connor graduated high school at 15, and had dedicated himself to acting ever since. Looks like all that hard work is definitely paying off. Meet Mr. December, Connor Ross…

On a date, should you give a girl flowers or chocolate?

Both… girls like flowers… actually exnay on the flowers. All girls love chocolate.

The character Connor plays in "Driftwood" on the film's actual DVD sleeve

Tell us about your ghostly character “Jonathan” in Driftwood.

He doesn’t try to haunt people. He sees a lot of himself in David (Ricky Ullman’s character) and he just wants to help David. He’s trying to put himself out there so someone will know what happened to him, because no one knows what actually happened to him. He’s trying to help them find his body. He’s trying too get David’s attention, like, “My body’s here, help me out, this is like a bad place, whatever”… Trying to give everyone a heads up. Just trying to be helpful I guess! He’s a GOOD scary character.

Connor with Driftwood director Tim Sullivan. See where the spray went on his hair?

Do you use hair gel, and, if so, do you have a special brand?

I do not use hair gel. I always am a spray guy. I always use spray cause it’s quicker and easier. And I’m a really easygoing guy so I’m just like “Chhh CHHH” and I am out the door.

He won the Pretty/Scary wet T-shirt contest, I think

Do you have a Girlfriend?

I try to stay away from labels, like “girlfriend”. But there is a girl… Yes, in answer to your question, yes.

and you wipe it clean

But she knows she’s not your girlfriend?

She’s not my girlfriend, but we are together. We have an “open” relationship but we don’t act on it.

And you try to make it look like this...

Wh  What exactly is a piece of driftwood?

I have no idea! My first response is that wood that drifted on shore or something?

I guess his real name is "Calvin", cause that's what's written on his underwear...

Who is hotter: The chick from Transformers or the chick from Disturbia?

Definitely Megan Fox from Transformers.

Isn't he a good sport?

Did you go to prom?

I did! I was homeschooled. My prom happened out here, even though I was from Texas and was homeschooled out here. And all the kids from home school went to the prom!

What did you wear?

I wore all black. Black shirt, black tie, black pants, black underwear.

If you and Ricky Ullman got into a fight who would win?

It’s hard to say that because he’s a friend of mine, and I don’t wanna fight him, but... I’m taller than him; I’m bigger than him… Next question!

Upcoming projects we should know about?

None of them are settled. They are all in development, but... I am in talks for a movie called They Came From Upstairs. It’s a FOX movie.  Palo Alto is still in the distribution process, trying to get distribution.

Connor, in a really eerie shot

You were in a movie called Pirate Camp? Is it as awesome as it sounds?

It’s a place where these kids get on a ship, really weird pirate guy shows up and tells these kids to go to this place. They go, they get on the ship, and they go to their camp, and it’s a place where they learn how to fight and how to be a pirate! We had two or three weeks of combat training. It was really cool!
