Mr. July: Corin Nemec

Corin Nemec: You might remember him from his more recent roles in the sci-fi horror movie Mansquito or his turn as mass murderer Richard Speck in The Chicago Massacre (or not); but you’ve probably been impressed by him as the sexy Jonas Quinn on the Sci-Fi Channel’s series Stargate: SG1. However, there may even be those of you who loved him first as Parker Lewis on the eaaaarly 1990’s TV series Parker Lewis Can’t Lose – in which Corin played Parker, sort of a cross between Ferris Bueller and Zack Morris from Saved By The Bell. Corin’s latest movie is Bundy: An American Icon, from Lionsgate on DVD July 21, in which he tackles the role of serial killer Ted Bundy, renowned for his charm and good looks with which he lured dozens of women to a grisly death. Corin stopped by Pretty Scary to do his best Bundy impression, discuss beating up Mark Paul Gosselar, and how he likes to stalk women. And be our Mr. July. Enjoy Corin...

Review by projectcyclops

Kicks tells the story of Nicole and Jasmin, two girls from opposite sides of the tracks who bond over their favourite football (soccer) star, Lee, in Liverpool. Meeting for the first time outside the club training grounds to try and get a peek at the guy, they hit it off and go clubbing together, at which point their differences become more apparent. Nicole (or Col) is a shy and intelligent girl who comes from the kind of household where you'd see an asthma inhaler next to a ashtray full of old butts, while Jasmine's family are wealthy nouveau riche, promising her a boob-job for her sweet-sixteenth. Jasmine wants to marry rich and be a pro-party girl, while Col wants a, "Brain-job", rather than chest enhancement, and her love for Lee is more cerebral and obsessive, rather than a simple teenage crush on a possible WAG magnet...

R.I.P. Farrah Fawcett (1947 – 2009)

By Amanda Reyes

Farrah Fawcett is an icon. As part of the original trio of ridiculously beautiful and refined detectives known as Charlie’s Angels, the actress soared to untold heights of fame. She played Jill Monroe, the fun, furtively smart girl with golden tresses and a smile that could stop a missile en route. She only played Jill for one season, but left an impact on anyone who caught the show during its original run. Fawcett passed away at the age of 62 after a long and very public battle with anal cancer. She might not ever be synonymous with horror, but her resume is overflowing with plenty of incredible genre work on the big and small screen...
